The O-Zone Street Plaza, formerly known as Owosso Skatepark, is a 3,000-square-foot concrete skatepark located in Owosso, Michigan. The project was a collaborative effort between the community and professional skatepark designers and builders. Pillar Design Studios, a firm specializing in custom skatepark designs, collaborated with the City of Owosso to create a facility that maximized the available budget and incorporated in-kind donations. Artisan Skateparks, known for their high-quality craftsmanship in skatepark construction, executed the building of the plaza.
The development of the skatepark was a community-driven initiative that spanned four years and raised $106,000. Local efforts included fundraising campaigns to meet financial goals, such as raising $30,000 within a 60-day period to qualify for additional funding. The skatepark opened in 2019.
