The Lawson Skatepark, situated in Estes Park, Colorado, is a state-of-the-art 10,000-square-foot facility that was officially dedicated in September 2024. This modern skatepark replaced the original structure built in 2003, which had deteriorated over time.
The skatepark was designed by Pillar Design Studios, a landscape architecture firm specializing in action sports facilities. Construction was executed by Artisan Skateparks, a company renowned for building high-quality skateparks. Funding: The project cost approximately $650,000, with the majority of funding provided by the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District (EVRPD).
The design process incorporated community feedback. Brad Siedlecki of Pillar Design Studios presented three initial designs, and community members selected preferred features during a meeting in spring 2023.
